



Split is the largest city in Dalmatia, the second largest city in Croatia (the wider metropolitan area has more than 200,000 inhabitants), Croatia's second largest port and third port on the Mediterranean by the number of passengers. It is the administrative center of Split-Dalmatia County and its catchment areas of the three southern Croatian counties (former municipalities Community Split), and part of Herzegovina and Bosnia.
